Hello Folks!!!
Lies, Guns and Violence: There's a saying that art is merely a mirror of society. Haven't you ever turned the TV off in disgust after seeing nothing but the horrible things people do to one another? Seeing corrupt, money grubbing elected officials, celebrities, and CEO's of large corporations getting richer, while the people who put them there in the first place grow poorer? Politicians lie at every turn, some lie about cigars while others lie about wars, tax cuts, big business and the environment. We need to wake up and "change the direction that we're being led, try to loose the monkey that we're being fed"! Stop watching all those useless reality shows and educate yourself. We're all the same, some people do certain things better but it doesn't make them better. Wake up and believe in yourself and do not take anything at face value! -Sean Tarr
Do You Remember:At times I find myself wallowing in the romantic notion of what used to be rather than what is. This song reflects my feelings of wanting to break out of the rut we all find ourselves in from time to time. If we're lucky, we have someone there who loves us to help us out. Wall of guitars. This time the Performance strat and the Charvel strat were employed. We wanted dynamics, like the tide coming in and out. Soft verse building and building until the crescendo in the chorus then receding back to the soft verse. Mike laid down some powerful vocals to make the hook really sink in." I want to feel incredible, I want to feel invincible, just keep on telling me you love me"-Sean Tarr Walk Before you Crawl: This is a reworked version of one of our older songs that we used to play way back. I like the song, because it reminds me of those days. It has a real classic melodic “metal” feel. Therefore, this makes it a real fun song to sing. It is light hearted, and should be taken in a tongue in cheek feel. To me, it’s a continuation of the song Take You Home Tonight from the TRIGGER album. Moral of the story, Be careful what you wish for, it might be ME. “Dreaming of the devil, and I'm what you got!!”.- Mike McManomon
9 Lives of Innocence: This was a collaboration between myself, and Kevin Blois from Gin Gypsy. It was really more of a stream of consciousness thing. Kevin met me at my apartment one Saturday and started playing this song, the opening acoustic guitar line you hear in the beginning. He started singing what is now the first verse, the chorus, part of the second verse and the outro. We tracked those bits and called it a day as he had other engagements. Unfortunately, I never saw him again. I loved the song and felt it should be completed and recorded properly. The song was lacking structure. So I arranged it, added a solo and completed the lyrics to the second verse as you hear them now. I tried to maintain the essence of what Kevin was trying to say. As far as I can tell, the song is about the souls' journey and the experiences along the path of life. It's rather abstract. 9 Lives is probably the "feel good" song of the album because of it's upbeat tempo and pop feel. -Sean Tarr Feel It: I had just moved in with my new girlfriend, (now wife) and was getting used to living in New York City. It reflects the feelings I had at the time, the excitement of a new and wonderful relationship, a new home, new acquaintances and new musical horizons. Nice bouncy, guitar grinding goodness for you to sink your teeth into. It was perfect for Mike McManamon's voice. In 1992 the metal we all know and love was breathing it's last dying breath. If you listen carefully I think you'll find it truly reflects the time period in which it was written while maintaining a slightly more modern feel. -Sean Tarr
Scream New York City: S&M freaky deaky song about the city so nice they had to name it twice. It doesn't get much better than NYC for gettin' your freak on and letting it all hang out daddy! Another straightforward rocker meant to be played on 11 when you're heading out to the clubs on a Saturday night. -Sean Tarr Kill Your Idols: I was thinking about worship on this one, and is very special to me. At the time, I was jamming with a bunch of guys I had known for a long time. I was fooling around with different sounds etc. It was also a dark and ugly time for me. Which happened to be a time when Rock in general had seemed to lose it's way. I remember that there were a few noteworthy news stories at the time that resembled celebrities gone bad to role models just lost in some really dark situations. It occurred to me that these “IDOLS” of society had really let down the people who viewed them as heroes. I tried to take that thought one step further. Simply put, look inside yourself for your heros. Greatness can be achieved from within. The song, is a message of sorts to those who worship such “IDOLS” as movie stars, musicians, athletes, or whoever. If that is the case, then please...kill me next. - Mike McManomon

Things
are getting HOT!!!!
In 2001 we were proud to announce a band that had a Hard Hitting Edged sound. The band won rave reviews throughout the melodic rock scene with their debut release. Now that band is BACK, and things are about to HEAT up this summer as TNA is ready to get "BRANDED" !! The band is currently in the studio and is more then halfway through recording since starting production in June, and the album is sounding INTENSE. Label head John Kivel feels "This possibly may be the strongest produced release we have had to date." Here is a peak at the TNA Guitar arsenal that is being used on the album by Guitarist Sean Tarr. NO MORE JOHNNY has
been out a month now and we are very happy with the response so far! For those
that haven't discovered NMJ yet, You can check out the bands video for KEEP ON
DREAMING over at our freinds at www.melodicrock.com ! So what
are you waiting for? Get SLAMMED!! The band has
been described as a blues based AOR Crunch Guitar machine! If Jim Petrik and
John Sykes were to write a album together...this would be close to what it would
sound like! This is a MUST for anyone that loves crunchy guitars,
melodic drenched Keys with soulful vocals and a rhythm section that has punch.

TNA is BACK! The band
is currently in a NYC rehearsal room fine-tuning the bands new material
before entering the studio June 25th to start on their new album,
"BRANDED". Guitarist Sean Tarr is very excited about
the new material and new bassist Doug Odell. "Its great
having Doug in the band! He really adds an added element the band. He is a
outstanding player and all around nice guy! I can't wait for us to get in the
studio! The new tunes are very strong and I think will please and surprise alot
of people that bought the first album" Expect to get BRANDED this summer
with TNA's Sean, Danny, Mike and Doug! |

PYN SIREN showed up at this years KISS EXPO and to everyone's
pleasant surprised, kick their ass! Pyn blew thru a no holds barred
set including such fan faves as CRY ME A RIVER, SISTER WHISKEY and H.L.J.
From everyone at Kivel Records and PYN SIREN. We would like to thank
everyone that came down and partied with us this weekend at the KISS
EXPO. You made us feel welcomed. A big extra special thanks to Richie

Back in August AG was to perform a show in VA which was to be recorded LIVE. Unfortunately as in life...Things happen from keeping things from working out the way they should be! Well, Jamie was in town, the band was ready to go...what do you do? MAKE YOUR OWN SHOW! We rented out a warehouse for the night. Invited some friends down and made some noise and committed it to tape for release. What you hear is what you get. All the mistakes and all the fun! Hope you will enjoy as much as we did doing it. Time to Tango 2003!! Well we are back and the New Year is upon us...and we are not about to sit back and let this year pass us by!! We are very excited as we have tons of great new acts, as well as some familiar faces that still have something left to say! We are very happy to announce our latest addition to the Kivel family….Tango Down! The band is currently hard at work on their debut album at Empire Studios in Upstate NY and have plans on an early spring release. Tango Down features none other then lead vocalist Jayde, formerly of Shang Hai.

Nine24 had established a name for themselves in indie rock circles with Five Bucks A Cup just a few years ago as a no frills, party rock band. The album reminded everyone that rock-n-roll was simply about taking a break from life's little miseries, throwing on some tunes, grabbing a beer, and having a good time.What really makes Nine24 shine was the personality that comes through in their music. Their infectious "live hard, rock hard" attitude that has sorely missed in the music of the last decade was a welcome change to their steadily growing group of followers.

ADRIANGALE SET TO MAKE 2002 A BIG ONE: Jamie Rowe and Adriangale are 95% complete with the pre-production on their next album. Guitarist Vic Rivera says the new tunes 'slay' and will be exactly what the Dr. ordered for fans of melodic rock! The band plans on going into the studio sometime this month armed with 13 brand new tunes and a surprise cover. Some of the song titles to be recorded are: Dark Horse, Runaway, Good Enough, Heartbreak Guaranteed. The band expect to let the album take shape before nominating a title for it. A release is due in March/April. |

that the album came along nicely and will please fans both old and new
of KIVEL RECORDS. Recently Kivel Records' Jason Hopper reported
that the songs were some of the best material he has heard in a long
time, and will please fans of the harder edged DEF LEPPARD sound. This
album will leave you remembering the days of BIG guitars and HUGE
vocals! The album was produced by Peter Baron and Eddie
Kramer (KISS, Hendrix, The Scream). Also, expect a few surprise
guests on the album as well.

Man, are we excited around here, and when we get excited we like to

Cheetah, is one of the hottest Hard Rock signings
to come our way in a long time! The album Love
Thunder is armed with some awesome tunes and an absolutely
incredible lead voice delivered by vocalist Les Brown! Expect a
preview of the release shortly. Fans of hard edged stadium rock will
surely get into this release! In other Kivel related release news,
the release of the Michael Bormann fronted Rain has been delayed. We were hoping that the
album would have been out by now, but studio delays for the new tracks
have held up the release. The album is promised not to disappoint when it

It is with great sadness and extreme shock that today on Sept 11th, America experienced a event that will leave a lasting impression for many generations to come. Our hearts go out to all the families and friends of the casualties in today's attack. Let us remember the men and woman that died on this day, as well as the hundreds of NYC Firefighters, EMS workers and Police officers that perished in the TRADE CENTER collapse. Our Hearts, Thoughts and Prayers go out to all of you.

Hello! We want to make a wonderful announcement on the board today. It is not your usual addition you hear about here, but we are incredibly happy to say, As of Tuesday the 5th, our web master Dave Twarog and his lovely wife Mary bought into this world a baby boy! He weighed 8lb 2oz, is named Matthew Edward Twarog and both he and mom are doing fine. We are extremely happy for them and their family! We all wish them the best of happiness in the years to come ! Hello Friends! Well we are excited around here this month! We had a blast in Spain! TNA 'Finger On The Trigger' is due for release in May ! ADRIANGALE will be finishing up their new 8 song EP before going into the studio to start work on the new album. Before the boys went to Spain they wrapped up a photo shoot with staff photographer KENT MILLER for the EP , here is a sample from the shoot. Hello! Well we are all excited here in the office, this week is very special. Jamie Rowe arrives today in NY for rehearsals for some ADRIANGALE dates. The band will record a few new songs for the upcoming E.P. release. ADRIANGALE will be leaving for SPAIN next week to play the NEMELROCK, so the office will be empty this week, since we are all going! I hope that doesn't mean Dave our webmaster will run a muck and re-enact that scene from RISKY BUSINESS while we are away. He really doesn't have the legs for it. Also while we are gone, TNA will be in the studio fine tuning their debut release for us, which is due early May. So it looks like April is already starting off with a bang.
